Dreaming With A Broken Heart

When I'm dreaming with a broken heart, waking up is the hardest part.

 I roll out of bed and down on my knees and for a moment I can barely breathe.

Then I remember the wave will subside and life goes on, and life is still good.
I find that smile and my step begins to spring froward. I have no idea why, but I am grateful for the resilience in me, and the lack of bitterness that could, and probably should be ever present. Thanks be to God and my support systems. They keep good news following bad. I find that the fear turns into courage if I treat it right. If loss/fear hasnt killed me yet... what can? Nottin. Nada.
Why so pensive ya ask? Because I still have the dreams we discussed a very long time ago and this week, pretty tough. I so loathe them too! I'm very certain that is the cause of a series of loss (es). No one could blame me really if I ran down the street naked screaming obscenities right? Of course right. However good news did follow, and I feel encouraged, empowered and wanted to share. Again I have to say that sharing is healthy, but maybe not such a good idea at this time.
I have much yet to do. To give. To share. To love. And I shall.

Family Time MM

Yes it is! I am so busy I forgot my MM Manners again! ( almost)

I'm working hard on Mid State Fair Entries, outside work, inside work, and yep....cooking!

One would think that I'd be skinny as a rail by now but nope... what a struggle! It must be the age. Mind over matter says I.

The kids came to give warm fuzzies this week end and it was sure needed! We all had fun in the pool and at the beaches. ( aka water parks) We ate too much, drank too much, didnt talk enough. All in all the house was alive with laughter and I like it that way.

Back to work I go now, I hope that you all made it a marvelous Monday today!

Cookies Are ALWAYS The Answer

Right? To most important questions! Or maybe a way of sticking heads in sand? Or mapping out a new life? Or telling people that you're thinking of them? How about just saying
HERE! I'm fond of you! Damn it!
One can analyze til the cows come home but I just like cookies. Yes, please include all of the above mentioned reasons too.
My life has been a crazy mixed up mess of organized chaos and still she makes cookies. Because I can! Two weeks ago I did a mediocre Baby Ruth cookie...Last week I had an epic fail at a strong chocolate try.. This week, VICTORY!  Peanut butterfingers...to your knees cookies! Next week I have a NO NAME surprise cookie!
I'm so not a baker eh? Thats Blimas job. However, even if cupcakes is not my forte, I can still produce heaven in the kitchen on most days!

Its amazing what memories can be brought to mind with a recipe, especially a cookie. Every loved one, or loved ones friends come to mind. What a tickle for me.
This is a third try and winner cookie. I opened the test kitchen to try to create a cookie from a friends love of a candy late at night. God I love cookies. go make em for someone! Watch the pleasure ooze from thier face..lol Even my Quick Books Teacher Kvelled with every bite!

Peanut Butterfingers

3/4 C Sugar
2/3 C light brown sugar
1/2 C butter, softened
2 Egg Whites
1 1/2 tsp pure Vanilla
1 1/4 C  Crunchy (JIF) peanut butter
1 C flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp baking Soda
12 OZ butterfinger candy bars
------------------------------------------------------
In food processor blend sugars, butter, egg whites, and vanilla until light and fluffy. ( maybe 1 min or so)
Add PB and pulse several times until combined.
Add flour, salt, and soda and pulse a few times more. Dont do too much. ( gets doughy, ask me how I know)
Place this mixture in a large bowl.
Cut up all candy into about 1/4 inch bites. (avoid sampling, ok, maybe 1) Stir into the dough mixture.
Scoop 1 1/2 tablespoon heaps onto greased cookie sheets. Flatten with a sugary dipped fork to make a crosshatch. ( scuse quilter referance)
Bake at 350 for 12 to 14 minutes. They will be golden but soft centered with dry edges.
Let Cool on sheets a few minutes before transferring to wire racks. ( cause they'll fall a gooey part!)

Serve with flour on your forehead, goofy grin on your lips, and an ice cold glass of milk:)

Ya'll know Ive been having having more than my share of trauma  since 2008.  I'm so glad to have had the good sense to have loved as I have, so that those will be there for me.. It has given a whole new life to a grand child book that I have in the making!

Dwight Yokum Concert MM

Dwight didnt disappoint!
Off to the Silver Legacy in Reno was I with sis and brother in law for a fun filled night of Dwight and all I could eat crab legs! woohoo!
He was quite charming and funny too. Complete with his infamous leg moves and hat tips, Dwight was a real showman this night! Many (not me) were dancing in the isles and pissing people off with huge hats, but all and all everyone was just having a blast. I did notice the blast was blastier as the nights beers went on! Great fun with family weekend.
Good to be home, but I miss them all already!

Mornin! I know most of you love your weekends, but I dont. I personally think its baggage, but we wont go there. Mondays are just a great reflection day and a new beginning for me. A day where I can convince myself that all is well and I am going to be okay! It sure been a journey right?
This week I will finish up a custom quilt and hopefully take calls for more! I ve been getting quite bored lately, so ive made plans to rectify that! My beach visit was nice, but not nearly enough!  lol I am truly going mad without my computer,but Im hopeful as always. Man!! I would L.O.V.E. to vent here but I cant :(

MM Beautiful Coastal Days

Good morning! I made it through! yeh me! Holiday weekends are tough...I am tougher.
Its been so pretty out days and evenings. Huge moons and fantastic sunshine! I am trying to whip my yards into shape and my nails took a beating between playing in the earth, and cooking my brains out for no apparent reason. Mowing needed Corona, and that was awesome, however........beer and mex food is a suicide mission on weight loss programs. geez...I sabatoged myself! But...it was fun. I had a few friends over late night and we enjoyed the fruits of my labor. Lord send me a gardener, a bug killer,a stud finder,and a computer geek. Other than that, Im good. well, and a super lotto winner ticket.
Altho.... I must say, I did manage to pulverize my own moth the other night! barefooted! yep! go me! the little creepy thing was hell bent to get into my cotton and he paid for it. I was nearly as victorious as I was braving a snowy Donner Summit, but not quite. Baby steps they say. Have a marvelous Monday dear blog readers, im off to work on a really puckery king....grrrrr

Good morning:) Happy Marvelous Monday! Whatcha grateful for last week? You tell me this time!

Do ya love the above quote?  Pooch? Me too!

I think I want a herd of poodles...lol Well, until I try to sleep and Gin is the super bed hog! I swear I can sleep right on top of her and she wont MOVE! And she dreams out loud! I think she is in pain and go to wake her from the nightmare and save her from the monsters! She is quite "gassy" which really makes me mental and grosses me out. When I leave her home alone I am punished by the tipping of trash cans all over. Justttt making a mess for ya Ma.

 She is a circus freak upon my return acting as though she hasnt seen me in six years. Someimes I break things while trying to come through the front door. (sorry KareBear) Ginger insists on being up my nose 24/7 and right on my lap if I sit down. No one told her that she is a "mini" NOT a "toy" poodle. She gives me the stink eye whenever I do something unacceptable to her. She shows her teeth also when she doesnt like the scent of something. Many lotions have gone in the garbage because SHE SAID SO.

Now that you know what a pain in the butt this creature is, let me tell you why I need an entire herd of em!

It doesnt matter what I do, say, think, feel, she loves me more than her own exsistance. In everything that she does, it shows. For every "stink eye" there five million adorning looks on her face. She is a comfort to me, and would try to kill anyone who dared to hurt me. Not that she could, but she THINKS that she can. ( and tries!) Ginger would never sit in judgement of anything I do. Ever. She wouldnt even scold me. I know that if she could talk, she would tell me all of this. Someone worships the very ground on which I walk! LOL This makes me happy. Gives me much needed pleasure. I can braid her hair, shave her face, monkey pick her skin, and she just loves me.

I never wish to be without her, however I know I must suffer that loss one day too. I freaking hate loss. Until that day comes I will be forever grateful for her love. Sent to me at just the right time. As is everyone I have ever known.

I dont understand why everyone doesnt have this kind of a friend. They should! It should be a rule.

Late gratitudes for this marvelous monday! I could have made a tell alll tuesday?
Did you have a nice holiday week end?  I was sent to see the kids:) and I liked it! Does wonders to restore breath eh? I sure needed it too. Thanks kids. we had a great BBQ one night, we sang,danced, cooked, and Art sharpened all of my knives! bonus! Coffee with my heather, a valentine from sarah! and one from bec too! and then an amazing asian seafood fest the next... heres a picture of my first batch of oysters! I ate so many that I nearly popped! I really should have been a mermaid. The girls kept up with me too!Little mermaids! lol Now its back to the real world. Well...........You just read my gratitudes for this week!

Morning. I have been doing homework all week and I gotta tell ya, I am quite perplexed about the New Ms. Wizard.Do you peoples remember when the "click" theory of mine was born? A way to change the channel in my brain and NOT WRITE about dancing with the demons in my mind. Therefore not to go down the road from hell all the time? Brilliant right????   Ok... So listen up.
Four years later I am told that this could be construed as avoidance rather than healing!!!! WTH? Wait! That bares repeating. WTH!!!???!!!
I explained how the theory works. I told her how it helps. I re iterated how I DO NOT like bummer blogs in any way. Or bummer thoughts, talks, writes.. I dont like it!
She remains steadfast in that I wasn't completely walking through the fire. Alone or otherwise. She has me working on the book. Without the clicks. Frankly, I'm having a good deal of trouble doing it. You should see my nightstand! I feel like a writer! LMAO!

I'll put that on this weeks Master list. For now I must get a boatload of things done. I lost the Monday list because I made it last night! Not good... I need my lists!
