It Is What It Is

"Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.
The way you cope with it is what makes the difference."– Virginia Satir

Cope eh? Sheesh. I COPE a lot right? I cant wait to get on with living and quit "coping" with life. I vaguely remember doing just that. It's coming, I can feel it down deep. It's coming.
Physically I am down more than 30 pounds now and ready for a run with Hash House Harriers chapter here in SLO. Ok, walk... power walk! lol Junior Rambo in Drag? I must admit that this time aged 50, its flippin hard. My personal trainer is a poodle who would rather smooch me and jump in my lap while I am Ab-Rolling! Still, it feels good to be partially me again. As I said...its a coming and look out world! Ya haven't seen the last of me FO SHO.
Quilting is slow but sure. Not really making a good living from this, but at least one of my passions still remain the same. Its a good thing.
Heart food? Ah... mediocre at best, but comes in waves like everything else. Finding those who tend to my head, heart, and car is no easy task when you're.....ME? It is amazing to watch them try though? LOL. No one said it would be a cakewalk right? Speaking of.... I have been cooking my brains out and wow is it good therapy! I have even found new peoples to feed!
My kids and grands keep me sane... oh wait... that's the wine that does that... yes, the wine...( which is the only reason weight loss is SLOW eh)
So that's a quick catch up on me since the above quote of the day sparked it. I think that I mentioned months ago how I am not able to speak freely here anymore, but I find it so damn difficult NOT to write. Soon, all will change again. It ALWAYS does. It is what it is indeed.

Eggs

Good morning....Wanna discuss eggs today? Come on....why not right? You peoples KNOW how I think best while cooking or quilting yes? Well, first, a disclaimer. This new Ms Wizard has me thinking till I'm blinking! Twitching even. It feels as tho I am working on a thesis for Petes sake.. Its all good.
I could say that I boil eggs for the whole protein snack idea.
I could say that its just a carried over normalcy from child rearing days. When every mothers son comes running over for a happy egg. ( Koolaid Mom Syndrome)
I COULD say that I love to have my baby grands poke their lil heads in the fridge and snatch a  tickle without getting scolded.
I could say that I dont want any confusion over fresh eggs or cooked eh? I have mopped up a few splats in my life.
I could just not analyze at all and say thats HERES SOME DANG EGGS.
I think that I have figured it out though. Its just me? Always plugged in, or unplugged, however anyone would see it. Its different, its functional, its normal, and it makes everyone who opens that door have a tickle. Thats special. It makes loved ones feel just THAT much more special on any given day of the week, for no apparent reason. So when I bang pots and pans, boil eggs, make huge Terranova Tornado messes, its just who I am. She fed her family, and she feels full. Why question it at all?

A Valentine Excercise. Two of Two.

UPDATE: I got a B -? Come on!

Dear G,
You make me mental on so many levels. Your goofy antics, the crazy messes that you get yourself into perplex me. I sometimes find it difficult to keep up with you! I fall in love with your every giggle, and nutty idea. Your every sigh is a magnet for many. Your serious, heart felt conversation,  nothing short of a rock and roll symphony. The very depth of your mind travels, takes me with you. You make me laugh when you act like a seven year old. Hand on hip, stuck out to there. Foot and head cocked to one side, wondering why everyone else is not on the same page as you are. I think I love you. You make me feel as though I can rule the world with one hand tied behind my back. Try as I may, I cannot imagine life without you. However, I still say that life with you, gives me a nervous twitch.
You calm the storm within me, and yet I shiver both with delight and fear.Thunder has new meaning, and I fear that I may not satisfy the desires in you.
I find security by your side. I know that the circle of trust will never be broken. To me, there is no greater comfort. You make me want to be a better man. THEE best man. Can I stay? Will you stay? I wish to tend to your heart, to your head, to your desires. Yes, I'm certain that I love you. I'm going to tell the world that I have found forever. My patience paid off. It was worth the journey. The good and kind man whom is still a a bad boy in many ways, has come home to find forever. Somewhere, at sometime, I must have done something right to be able to spend forever with you.
Your Valentine

A Valentine Excercise One Of Two

UPDATED: I got an A on this one!

Dear G,
Could you even be a hotter mess at times? I skip daily just to meet you. To greet you. Give the two of us time to heal.An impatient little Minx, you are a special love, with much to offer. Don't give up. You are worth the journey that must be travelled. Forever will find you. I'm happy that you haven't locked the door. You are so good at this, your rewards will surely come. With every laugh and story to tell, you are a love to be cherished. Many feel that you are their home away from home. Enjoy this. The sheltered girl in a Woman's body will find the old soul for the continued protection of the two.Thank you for protecting the two of us. I love your circle, it keeps us safe. I appreciate your deep seeded beliefs, and your ability to "know". I do love you so. You satisfy the need in me by keeping this fire going. For that, my everlasting devotion is only to you. Please remember that even though it may burn out of control at times, and you think I may be dowsed, fear not. I am only catching a Gina breath. I burn for you forever, as you are the universe at its finest moment.
Love your Guts, Your own Heart

Ms. Wizard Says........

Morning. I have been doing homework all week and I gotta tell ya, I am quite perplexed about the New Ms. Wizard.Do you peoples remember when the "click" theory of mine was born? A way to change the channel in my brain and NOT WRITE about dancing with the demons in my mind. Therefore not to go down the road from hell all the time? Brilliant right????   Ok... So listen up.
Four years later I am told that this could be construed as avoidance rather than healing!!!! WTH? Wait! That bares repeating. WTH!!!???!!!
I explained how the theory works. I told her how it helps. I re iterated how I DO NOT like bummer blogs in any way. Or bummer thoughts, talks, writes.. I dont like it!
She remains steadfast in that I wasn't completely walking through the fire. Alone or otherwise. She has me working on the book. Without the clicks. Frankly, I'm having a good deal of trouble doing it. You should see my nightstand! I feel like a writer! LMAO!
Wish me luck Dear Blog Readers! HOED ON!
PS: I do not agree with said observation. I contend that changing ones "state" as quickly as possibly allows them a quick recovery, therfore thwarting off Mountainous Meltdowns!
But I will comply, for awhile.

I nearly forgot my gratitudes for this week! SEE!!!!!

MM's include:

Anonomous gifts
This new lil juicy pen for my jotting
those boots! DAMN WHAT A RUSH!
Aviana calls from the bathroom
Pen Pals
NOT dead treadmills
dreams of Hobbit holes to nap in

Fourth Year To Forever

"The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity.
The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty."– Winston Churchill

Time can and does certainly change us.Too bad that we cannot change time.
Around every corner a new journey, adventure, some well received, some not.
All of them unknown. Unchangeable changing times. On that we can rely.
Today is the fourth year of forever for me, and mine.
Incredibly hard to believe. A very hard truth for the Mama.
This is James` Chicken Strip Recipe. Whenever the kids played in the kitchen with me, they were instructed to write down the end result. The last and best one.  This was a great teaching time, and so much fun too! Math, science, penmanship, home EC, language, SPELLING!!...lol
Hey, maybe I should have taught! Wait, I think I did.
My James LOVED chicken strips with ranch dressing. I'm making these today for me. For us. I'll be working with your clothes, munching chicken strips, and rocking out with George Throughgood....Its a good plan right? I may even watch one of your Jack ass videos even though I think they are NOT funny and all too dangerous.
There is nothing I wouldn't do, wouldn't give, to have you doing it all with me.
I miss you more than I could ever EVER convey my Dear Son.
I'll see you when I see you!

Missing Ma

"You don't kind of let go, you don't kind of ride waves.
You either ride them or you don't."
 Laird Hamilton

Mornin` coffee through a straw today. Be gentle with me. I am busy all day, and still have trouble getting, and staying asleep. I tried Melotonin. It didnt work. No coffee, no tea... maybe just some hot lemon water sometimes, but its bugging me for sure. Send tips:)
Do you remember what today is? How could you forget! Ma left us today. She is taking care of Jamie for me. I bet she taught him how to play Hollywood Rummy. I miss her, but you know, we talk often. Which is more than I can say for me and Munz eh... I might bust out one of her recipes today, we shall see. I'm sewing and watching the rain. Last night before the rain came, there was a fabulous warm breeze blowing the chimes round. I turned everything off just to give a listen. Small but meaningful happy moments. Hey... that Pinterest site is addicting! I have found many items for my vision board and also pinned some of my own! Its fun! ( ya gotta love healthy distractions eh?)
I'm off to create! Love yer guts!

Coffee Blogabout May Be At Wine 30

"Never apologize for showing feeling.
When you do so, you apologize for truth."– Benjamin Disraeli

Ya never know with me these days right? Its wine and cheese time, not coffee and cottage cheese time! lol  Sorry, I was seeing Mr Wizard. Good Lord I needed it too! It helps to not beat myself up so much. Thats what they tell me anyway. Also to my Dr Appt, did you remember the fateful December meet up? Yep yep yep.. You will be pleased to read that I do not have to go on insulin yet! I lost 2 more ( Ill take it) pounds! Which has given me another month reprive. New meds too for the Neoropothy. I have no idea what it is, but that other stuff was awful!  So I seem in good spirits yes? Well, I am experianced at faking it til I'm making it!. Its what I do. Mister Wizard thinks its healthy. I'll take that too. I enjoyed leaving the frost and venturing into the sunshine today. I left all wrapped up, and returned with layers gone!
I am thinking about my Uncle Henry today. He is my biological Fathers brother. He died Sunday night. He had a long and wonderful life, and we loved each other very much.I spent a good deal of time with he and my Aunt Edith in my youth. I adore my cousins and I hope I never lose my Terranova family. I guess Im thinking of him because it is really EERY how every year in my life, someone is leaving. Like clockwork. It occurred to me that it might be my age. My generation the next to go? It all began with Uncle Smiles remmebr? Just before my James untimely death. Three more loved ones, in three more years. My Dear Mother, my young sweet neice, and now Uncle Henry. I find this quite EERY. Its no wonder that I can go nowhere without a slight panic attack wondering who may or not be MIA while I'm away. PTSD.
I was cooking Thanksgiving dinner and when Avi played Sanja on her playlist I melted down over giblet gravy. Seems that these things happen while cooking... It hit me about this loss, and loss of other kinds. At that very moment I was overwhelmed with a sense of loss, grief, sadness. While hugging it out with KareBear, I felt peaceful too. Peaceful in the knowledge that all be be well, no matter what. I haven proven that I am a survivor. Whatever it takes.
The gravy was saved, and delicious as always. ( so they told me)
No idea why I am rambling away. Only one sippa wine, swear!
Here is a sweet photo of Ma and Uncle Henry a few years ago. I think I'll go finish my new Russian Zoupa! See me Friday for the outcome!
PS: Have you ANY idea how hard it is to fake it till you make it???

Thirteen Inches Whacked Away!

As you peoples can see by the LOOK on my face, I am totaly unsure and in shock myself!
Man, I guess I could never have a poker face eh? Not a stitch of make up on, this is really unplugged...LOL
I LOVE the color, but its too short. I have played with it a lot, and got it a few ways that I think is fun.I am getting used to it, although my neck is chilly! Ginger keeps sniffing me like WTF? I say its less hair to PULL!!!
I asked Amer if I could donate that tail of cut off hair, but sadly, it must be untreated hair and mine was not.
So the pile on the floor was quite strange to say the least. I dont know that I will keep this length, but I will keep the layers of height and volume:) I was amazed at how easy it is to wash and condition damn near no hair!! (well, in comparison)I need some BIGGO earrings now. Yeah, put THAT on the list eh? Thanks for the Treatment KareBear!
OK, good coffee break, I need to sew. A stitch in time, really does save my mind.

A Thought

Let go. Why do you cling to pain? There is nothing you can do about the wrongs of yesterday. It is not yours to judge. Why hold on to the very thing which keeps you from hope and love?

The Only Thing That Remains The Same Is Change

"Calm self-confidence is as far from conceit
as the desire to earn a decent living is remote from greed."

Morning. So Ma, as usual, is is once again correct. I contend that adaption to lifes directional changes is necessary to good mental health. They dont say " roll with it" for nothin` eh?
Whether its a new computer system to learn, a new home or partner, a lost loved one, I have learned that change is a defining force in mine and you peoples lives. PERIOD.
Now that I have made peace with this knowledge, I can more easily shift from one stage to the next. In total wonderment, I might add. Its not an easy process you know. Especially as I age::::gracefully::::
It has required from me that I learn new ways to "weave and bob" if you will, maneuver through my new life.I have figured out that even good changes are none the less stressful too! Yep... New tech toys, new friends, different living environments, etc.
I have read extensively that these kinds of changes stave off Alzheimer's and keep the mind neurologically sharp. In my case, I feel as though its learning new languages. Some even difficult languages. My tools for the job? I have a pocketful. Most importantly, optimism, involvement in life, acceptance of loss of any kind, and physical activity.  I must admit that these top tools are NOT easily used, but a must for me to thrive. I do not wish to be so rigid in the autumn of my life, that I rationalize not keeping up with the times, toys, and terminology of the current year. I hope and pray that I never feel again as if I'm losing ground. I wish to keep up with my grand babies and SHOW THEM how to use their tech toys instead of the other way around. Some might call it control... ok... I'll buy that for a dollar too.
You peoples may be wondering by now why I am discussing this over coffee today. Well... It would seem that I am constantly going through changes in the past few years and this month is no exception. I am learning the Intelliquilter System, along with a new tablet, and a half dozen other things software ( mind boggling) related. All good mind you, but change, and stress, none the less. All on the heels of trying to convince my body that Diabetes is unacceptable and must be eradicated. The nerve issues alone in my limbs are making me mental.
I may not be able to stop this train from running down the track, but I can slow it down and enjoy the journey, rather than viewing it as a wreck coming soon.
Hey.... thanks for the chit chat:) Damned good coffee!
LYG!
Hey! Lets do Missed Marvelous Monday K? Gratitude...ahhhhhh

WW

"Laughter is the closest distance between two people."

And Holding.............. Good morning:) Its a tell all Tuesday isnt it? Grunt. Ok, let me guzzle this coffee real quick like a bunny first. BRB
Whats it been now a month? Five weeks? I forget.(menopause happens) I still have no dang results from the nerve testing. That ticks me off as my feet and hands seem to be worsening. My energy levels have gone up however! I do not SEE a differance anywhere having lost the first ten pounds, but I do "feel" it. I'll take it. Yeh Buddy, I'll take it! Ten pound loss to date.

NO White At Night

I'll say here and now that i am advocating this little, simple sensible book to anyone and everyone. I pray everyday that I continue. I do not feel hungry, nor deprived. I do WANT white at night, but I summon up all that i posess in will power ( which isnt much) and I dont cook it.
Why?
I love the feeling of "hope" for the future. It has seriously become my new normal... ... New book... Waiting for normal...lol

My little FitBit Buddy is a great motivator all by itself. I find myself being held accountable to my computer stats! lol I have been amazed at its tracking abilities, and it has helped me greatly to "KNOW" where I am screwing up in food intake. ( searching for 40/30/30)

Last but not least FOR SURE, is my BFF linda, affecionatley known as the punisher, makes me GO when I would rather not, and is a great "pacer" As I would rather stroll and chat than kill myself trying to keep up with her little fast self! I used to be THAT person, so i am definetley on her heels.

Second Cuppa:   Heres the thing, just as with quilting, cooking, business, almost anything, we must have the right tools for the job at hand. Without them, our tasks are just more difficult, with less chance of success. I have the above tools, and in my opinion, the RIGHT tools for the job. Today.... I am successful. Tomorrow? Is another day, but I am hopeful.
Make it a great day!
Love yer guts!

No White At Night

I figured out why I'm fat. The shampoo I use says, "for extra body."
I should use Dawn dish washing liquid. It says,
"Dissolves fat that is difficult to remove."
Yep

This is my arsenal to do warrior battle with this new found problem O mine. All of them are quite the YAWN, save one. No White At Night. (center) It's easy, its sensible, and its working.
The most difficult for me is getting in the 30 minute walk, and omitting the starch at dinner. I believe that if I were to follow the American Diabetic Assc diet, I would be failing. I weigh, nor measure nothing. I count nothing. I read labels, and I am mindful of what goes into my mouth.( sugar!)  That's it. I pray everyday that I keep going. I pray that it lasts. ( I'm not so good of a "closer" )
A good woman knows her limitations eh?
The good doc has 3 easy rules.
Eat 3 meals a day ( no skipping) *for me I must add in a few healthy snacks
Eat the right amount of protein at each meal.(3-4 oz)
No white at night.
Period.

Ma was right about the "white" evils...(sugar, flour, starches)
I can still have a bread or a pasta or a potato.. I just have to have them for breakfast or lunch.
The most remembered words of the doctors for me is this.
Eat like a King for breakfast,
 a Prince for lunch,
 and a Pauper for dinner.
My previous menus were just the opposite. My bad.
I learn everyday eh? I hope that I always will.
Gives a whole new meaning to Eat, Pray, Love I tell ya!
Keep me in your prayers, and thanks for the continuous encouraging emails! I need ya!
Love yer guts!

See! On a Tell All Tuesday

Quality is not cheap.
Cheap is not quality.

So.......what (good stuff) happened yesterday that  I just felt?? Two quilts were accepted to compete at PIQF in October! Woohoo! Bubbling Beauty and Oriental Bliss!
Told ya!

Other Tell all Tuesday news.............Not a drop in the bucket but I'm down a few pounds and I'm walking my lil legs off!
Just in case ya wanted to know?  I dont know if its sheer fear or the FitBit, but I'll take it! And BTW, freaking H.A.R.D.
Did you know that if you drink iced water instead of tipid, we actually burn more calories? Yep, yep , yep.. the body, once ingested, has to heat up the water, therefore keeping metabolism reved up... I didnt know this? Learn something every darn day. Now if I can just un bore myself with foods. I am craving pasta.. or a baked potato...oh! no! CLIC
What are you peoples making for Christmas gifts? I'm stumped. I am a bit obsessed with pillow cases right now, but Walt and I would like to delve into the dye world... I think Vicki should drop us some tips for beginners. (hint hint)
I know! Fit Bits All around!  LOL I do get a bit tunnelled sometimes eh? Hey, enough chit chat... I'm burnin daylight on a wool quilt and a custom breathing down my neck... gotta go! ( oh I wish I hada Go! )

Bad Habits

"A bad habit never disappears miraculously; it's an undo-it-yourself project."
– Abigail Van Buren

Forgive me Dear Blog readers for I have sinned.
Now dont start emailing that I am making fun of this confession prayer. Im just writing a tell all Tuesday for ya.
I'm sorry that I have been away. I have been busy re adjusting. A.G.A.I. N.
My fAamily wonders why I hate doctor appointments. I tell them because its ALWAYS un nerving. Drama ensues each and every time. A few weeks ago, same thing as last years mammo scare. Only this time, I am not so fortunate. After my exam I was told that I now have Diabetes. I was listening to the good doctors words and looking in a side mirror at the same time. I saw my Mother. A.G.A.I. N.
While Diabetes is not a death sentence, it is a dibilitating disease that I DO NOT WISH TO DEAL WITH. It looks like I must. I am currently on an emotional roller coaster, determined to win, sad, resolute, pissed off, afraid, and about 10 other emotions thrown into the mix.
I have been on a mission to get better, get things accomplished, get better.... and now this. GRUNT. I know I allowed this to happen. I am not fooling myself. Maybe I thought I was exempt from such a fate. I mean come on... hasnt enough crap happened that I can have some good stuff happen now? I find it ironic that in the same week I had great news, I had this news just after. I am SO not calling bad things to happen! WTH? Ok, so... the resolute Sybil appears. I'm all over this. I will irraticate this from my life. Seven days of the perfect life change in food intake. Check. Excercise, not checked yet. I freaking hate excercise. My idea of good excercise is a couple good hours whirlling a cart around Costco. Grunt. But I will. I'm scouring Craigslist for a treadmill, and Ginger is pumped and ready to do Mommy battle. I need more battle buddies. Come walk your friend, K?
I swore on myself that I would never suffer the pricking pain my Ma and Grandma did.. but I never DID anything to prevent it. Shame. I spoke to Ma about this. To Munz as well. To Walt, to Karebear, to friends, to all who will listen to me Kvetch. As I said, I go from being determined and strong, to planning my own funeral next to my boy. Its really NUTS I tell you. NUTS.
Okay, so as not to bore you, I will get back to my quilt. Which by the way is the ONLY thing keeping me together. A.G.A.I.N.
Thank God for quilting.
Wish me luck in this quest of mine dear blog readers. For you prayer warriors, please throw me on your list.

Worry

"A day of worry is more exhausting than a week of work."John Lubbock

Why is this one of the hardest lessons in life to learn? IMHO that is. I wake up, go through the day, and fall asleep with this worry sin of mine. I hear there are meds for this right?:::oh chit, Im on them::::
Im not sure I ever grasped the concept of worry being a sin, or 99 percent of what we worry about never materializes. Or... worrying makes us old, quick... all of those rules of thumb. I still worry. No kidding.. If I KNOW better, why is it that I do not DO better?:::another one of those sayings::: It seems to me that I give it all to God, and either he throws it back, or my faith is weak. Ok, so I KNOW that answer, you dont have to tell me.
I worry so much that now I'm worrying about what worry is doing to me. Crap. Where's Ma when I need her?
Real Definition:
Worry is thoughts and images of a negative nature in which mental attempts are made to avoid anticipated potential threats.[1] As an emotion it is experienced as anxiety or concern about a real or imagined issue, usually personal issues such as health or finances or broader ones such as environmental pollution and social or technological change. Most people experience short-lived periods of worry in their lives without incident; indeed, a moderate amount of worrying may even have positive effects, if it prompts people to take precautions (e.g., fastening their seat belt or buying fire insurance) or avoid risky behaviours (e.g., angering dangerous animals, or binge drinking).
Worry is the misuse of your imagination. It is thinking vividly about what you don't want to happen in the future or dwelling on an unhappy past event.
Excessive worry is the main component of generalized anxiety disorder.

Thats so NOT me! I mean it IS me, NOW.. but its SO NOT ME!  Say it isnt so!
Well... THATS enough to make me ponder more positively eh? Maybe turn on a good book and stick my nose in a quilt? Oh dear... I wonder if that equates to sticking my head in the sand as not to face things.
And I thought I was such a tough cookie... Ppffttt!
I better get busy and do whats possible not to worry about all of these IMPOSSIBLE things around me.
Wheres the second cuppa? Who's got a cookie?

(I love saying) Hi Honies! I'm Home!

Home and back to it. Yep yep yep, I must. This was a fast and fun twin with lime neon thread... Love my limes:)  The trip was a fast and emotionally, PLUS physically draining jaunt over but guess what? Yep, I am still breathing! I know this must sound quite odd but I find myself dumbfounded at how life keeps freight train-ing along no matter the crisis. I was able to see all family and most friends. Love up on my baby grands, say a not so "good" bye to my beautiful neice, and I even had time for a visit with Mr. Wizard. (thank God eh?) I explained to him how I am afraid I have been seared with scars that I didnt earn, and do not want. We agreed that it really isnt time to stop my therapy. ( YA THINK?)It was good to see him, and I shall happily continue. For now, glad to be home and re couperating while loading my next beauty. I think I'll go work on Jamie's tee shirts first. Happy Friday, pass the scissors:)

Bridge Walk

"When we long for life without difficulties,
remind us that oaks grow strong in contrary winds
and diamonds are made under pressure."Peter Marshall

Good Lord, I must be a chocolate diamond cuddled up in the bend of the tallest oak tree out back!
:::or just full of myself, one:::
Mornin`! How are ya? I am alive! The jury was out on that btw after getting my new much needed bridge installed yesterday. Now I don't understand why normal people just go in and get their teeth done with no incident. Mine? Drama EVERY step of the way! Be it money, insurance woes, PAIN, gum grafting and yes even death. I am so far from normal there must be a huge plan for the rest of my life! Here's the back story:
After nearly one years worth of a battle to bridge 3 lil teeth, I am so close to the DAY I can fry up a cowboy pork chop and gnaw it to the bone. I have waited, fought, bawled, and yes poligripped my way around this bear of a journey. I am excited and proud to have survived this (TOO). Monday is the day. The sun is about to come out, all rain be damned, and I can chew once again!
Then.....I get this call on Friday. Of course its the dentist. I froze. WTH? Insurance issues again? Maybe the lab screwed up the fitting? There was an earthquake that obliterated my toof?? WHAT???
Oh nooooo much worse than that! My poor dentist, a young 50 yr old slender healthy man, just passed out at work and died. Thought to be a brain aneurysm, the man is gone, and all I can think about is my stupid bridge installation??? Oh Gina.....
I spent the entire raining week end with this on my mind. They were trying to find a substitute to take his appointments. Might a stranger be in my mouth? Those of you that know me well understand my fear of dentists. I don't bite, however I do throw up . A lot.
Monday showed up, so did the sunshine, and a substitute dentist. The very same temporary bridge that wouldn't stay put all winter long was now about to be SAWED off by a stranger. I heard the words "we're going to have to cut this one apart". OMFG! With no zanex on board, I wept. With needles up my nose I wept A LOT. I didnt throw up. I took my mind to a place that could not destroy me for I had already suffered the worst. ( that will get me through ANYTHING for the rest of my natural life. CLIC
Temp is out, new prosthetic is in, I am sore but alive, and the dang sun is out! Life is good. I will sorely ( no pun intended) miss my dentist. I hope I find a new trustworthy doctor. That poor suffering family of his will not. I am a bit ashamed of myself. I am a big boob sometimes. Grunt. Where's Mr. Wizard when ya need him?
Pay no attention to the crooked smile. Its the dope. I'm snarling like Ginger! LOL No funny remarks either...like, "hey wheres your lipstick? Is THAT an Age spot girlie? U sure you dont want to try that bleaching zinger machine again?..... remember... "G" Unplugged:)

Second cuppa thoughts.........because I can:) I got to sleep in today and guess what I discovered? My usually dragging butt behind was up and speed racing through the house a lot sooner! I cleaned the kitchen, started laundry, made my list, ate some protein, took out the trash, made a few sticki reminders, did the parrot prayers, and SHEESH< made fresh coffee and Im back! Maybe I really am recovering from the move? Maybe the antibiotics kicked in? Maybe I DID need more sleep!!!
I had my dr. follow up yesterday. I didnt tell ya, but it IS TELL ALL TUESDAYS right? grunt.
I finally figured out why I go to the doctor kicking and screaming. Yep yep yep... Its because the outcome is always anxiety! Every single time! Do you remember last summers BIG C SCARE? Well I do! Now, from a silly sinus infection, comes more of the same,(its still with me)  the unhealthy private part reaction to said antibiotics came over for a visit to. Two new blood tests ordered because of diabetes suspect, BP meds changed because its not controlled, changed my hormone meds cause she can.....and to top it all off, she put me on yet another diet! (No Whites At Night, Dr Gavin M.D.)
Mufasa thinks I havent been taking good care of myself like I told Ma last month. Ok, maybe he is right. In my defense, i am having a rough patch of life eh, but its shaping up? So must I. PS: I dont WANT a colon sceening test!!! ( kicking and screaming they are going to make me go:(
I want to just stay age 40 all my life. Yes 40. Ahhhh the good years...lol
So this new diet... like I havent tried them all right? I will read this book today in between appointments and box patrol. I have read the excerpts and now I understand why old people eat dinner so early, now I'm going to be one of them. GRUNT. The good doctor says its her "go to" live it program citing the ease of DQL with it on board.  I will get back to ya on that. Wish me luck! Ok, enough chit chat... much to do today, have a good one!
Go vote for Avi's pic up there!

Just You N Me

<-------Again, and again, and again!
Mornin`. I'm listening to "Baby Imma Wancha" on the radio from the 70's right? , Yes, high school.... sigh. How we do evolve eh? It prompted this coffee creation for today. "Used to be my life was just emotions passing by".... isn't that all the way through the journey? I think so. Just passing by to wherever we are not privy to know?
So onward to create the new you, whether it be a new do, a new home, or a new you. Its not about finding a new normal either. That's BS. I say its creating that too. New normal.... having coffee downstairs on a bar stool as opposed to your rocker in the living room? I don't like it! lol Man I'm getting old. So Trouble is, keeping the new normal thing! Just like keeping the kids at your feet. Washing on Mondays and gardening on Saturdays. Knowing where ALL above said KIDS are!! ( sorry, missing my Munz). Is it true that as we age we NEED more normals to stay put? You know.. the old geizers are SET in their ways stuff? Geez am I creating a senior? Nesting, preparing for winter? oh crap I take that back and SPIT! (twice)  OK, I'll quit with the questions. But its pretty good ponder food doncha think? I kind of miss Mister Wizard ponder food...lol I am left to my own! RUTRO!! I've been doing it all these years by myself, I can manage yes? Of course I can. Friends help:) The shattered world out back does too. I know its strange but I see it, and its comforting if not healing.Part of the journey me thinks. Now know whats playing on the radio? Precious and Few... good gravy!
Here ya go... I have decided....over 2 cuppas...
My personal theory after a life changing crisis event? (or 3) Normal cannot be found. It must be created. Nice.... Ms Wizard lives...........

I , being the creative person that I know that i am... better go create on a quilt top over there---->
