Eggs

Good morning....Wanna discuss eggs today? Come on....why not right? You peoples KNOW how I think best while cooking or quilting yes? Well, first, a disclaimer. This new Ms Wizard has me thinking till I'm blinking! Twitching even. It feels as tho I am working on a thesis for Petes sake.. Its all good.
I could say that I boil eggs for the whole protein snack idea.
I could say that its just a carried over normalcy from child rearing days. When every mothers son comes running over for a happy egg. ( Koolaid Mom Syndrome)
I COULD say that I love to have my baby grands poke their lil heads in the fridge and snatch a  tickle without getting scolded.
I could say that I dont want any confusion over fresh eggs or cooked eh? I have mopped up a few splats in my life.
I could just not analyze at all and say thats HERES SOME DANG EGGS.
I think that I have figured it out though. Its just me? Always plugged in, or unplugged, however anyone would see it. Its different, its functional, its normal, and it makes everyone who opens that door have a tickle. Thats special. It makes loved ones feel just THAT much more special on any given day of the week, for no apparent reason. So when I bang pots and pans, boil eggs, make huge Terranova Tornado messes, its just who I am. She fed her family, and she feels full. Why question it at all?

The Vow

Very touching film! Believeable for me totally:) I didnt think I would like a sappy movie, but I did indeed. And frankly, I havent like one since the Notebook! ( which in some ways this reminded me of....) This was based on a true story, and God bless that patient Man!
Rachel was far better an actor in this than she was in Wedding Crashers. I think she is just adorable. But.. sure made me feel old. Actually, I have been having far too many de ja vu's at the theatre. I should stop going. On the other hand, not much isnt recalling memories, so be it... Roll with it right?
Heres a tip: One really shouldnt go to see a smoochie love film on Valentines day without a Valentine in tow! I had June. We had fun. But...Jis sayin`......

We had a great time for dinner at Cal Terra. They may have thought we were a COUPLE? Our names were even printed on our menu! Hysterical fun for sure! Couple A Quilters we are!!!

Safe House-Movie View

Alert the media! Twice in one month??? Theres hope for my dumbass!I enjoyed the film, and  I'll tell you why.
I very much likened it to a new and exciting episode of 24!!!

Dirty CIA operatives, and of course rouge denzel, convincing the newbie reynolds he is near the same fate. I was on the edge of my seat and had I had any popcorn I am sure it would have been in the air several times. I so like a movie that doesnt allow me to predict the very next scene. Twists and turns all over keeping me like i said, on the edge not only phsyically but mentally as well! One of my favorite Denzel traits is his ability to show me "thinking" while quiet.I can see his wheels turning, and in this film, try as I may, I couldnt predict that thought process at all. I didnt hold much hope for reynolds, but damed if he didnt pull of a good supportive roll. Unlike many reviews, I say Kudos for entertaing me!

A Valentine Excercise. Two of Two.

UPDATE: I got a B -? Come on!

Dear G,
You make me mental on so many levels. Your goofy antics, the crazy messes that you get yourself into perplex me. I sometimes find it difficult to keep up with you! I fall in love with your every giggle, and nutty idea. Your every sigh is a magnet for many. Your serious, heart felt conversation,  nothing short of a rock and roll symphony. The very depth of your mind travels, takes me with you. You make me laugh when you act like a seven year old. Hand on hip, stuck out to there. Foot and head cocked to one side, wondering why everyone else is not on the same page as you are. I think I love you. You make me feel as though I can rule the world with one hand tied behind my back. Try as I may, I cannot imagine life without you. However, I still say that life with you, gives me a nervous twitch.
You calm the storm within me, and yet I shiver both with delight and fear.Thunder has new meaning, and I fear that I may not satisfy the desires in you.
I find security by your side. I know that the circle of trust will never be broken. To me, there is no greater comfort. You make me want to be a better man. THEE best man. Can I stay? Will you stay? I wish to tend to your heart, to your head, to your desires. Yes, I'm certain that I love you. I'm going to tell the world that I have found forever. My patience paid off. It was worth the journey. The good and kind man whom is still a a bad boy in many ways, has come home to find forever. Somewhere, at sometime, I must have done something right to be able to spend forever with you.
Your Valentine

A Valentine Excercise One Of Two

UPDATED: I got an A on this one!

Dear G,
Could you even be a hotter mess at times? I skip daily just to meet you. To greet you. Give the two of us time to heal.An impatient little Minx, you are a special love, with much to offer. Don't give up. You are worth the journey that must be travelled. Forever will find you. I'm happy that you haven't locked the door. You are so good at this, your rewards will surely come. With every laugh and story to tell, you are a love to be cherished. Many feel that you are their home away from home. Enjoy this. The sheltered girl in a Woman's body will find the old soul for the continued protection of the two.Thank you for protecting the two of us. I love your circle, it keeps us safe. I appreciate your deep seeded beliefs, and your ability to "know". I do love you so. You satisfy the need in me by keeping this fire going. For that, my everlasting devotion is only to you. Please remember that even though it may burn out of control at times, and you think I may be dowsed, fear not. I am only catching a Gina breath. I burn for you forever, as you are the universe at its finest moment.

Ms. Wizard Says........

Morning. I have been doing homework all week and I gotta tell ya, I am quite perplexed about the New Ms. Wizard.Do you peoples remember when the "click" theory of mine was born? A way to change the channel in my brain and NOT WRITE about dancing with the demons in my mind. Therefore not to go down the road from hell all the time? Brilliant right????   Ok... So listen up.
Four years later I am told that this could be construed as avoidance rather than healing!!!! WTH? Wait! That bares repeating. WTH!!!???!!!
I explained how the theory works. I told her how it helps. I re iterated how I DO NOT like bummer blogs in any way. Or bummer thoughts, talks, writes.. I dont like it!
She remains steadfast in that I wasn't completely walking through the fire. Alone or otherwise. She has me working on the book. Without the clicks. Frankly, I'm having a good deal of trouble doing it. You should see my nightstand! I feel like a writer! LMAO!
Wish me luck Dear Blog Readers! HOED ON!
PS: I do not agree with said observation. I contend that changing ones "state" as quickly as possibly allows them a quick recovery, therfore thwarting off Mountainous Meltdowns!
But I will comply, for awhile.

I nearly forgot my gratitudes for this week! SEE!!!!!

Fourth Year To Forever

"The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity.
The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty."– Winston Churchill

Time can and does certainly change us.Too bad that we cannot change time.
Around every corner a new journey, adventure, some well received, some not.
All of them unknown. Unchangeable changing times. On that we can rely.
Today is the fourth year of forever for me, and mine.
Incredibly hard to believe. A very hard truth for the Mama.
This is James` Chicken Strip Recipe. Whenever the kids played in the kitchen with me, they were instructed to write down the end result. The last and best one.  This was a great teaching time, and so much fun too! Math, science, penmanship, home EC, language, SPELLING!!...lol
Hey, maybe I should have taught! Wait, I think I did.
My James LOVED chicken strips with ranch dressing. I'm making these today for me. For us. I'll be working with your clothes, munching chicken strips, and rocking out with George Throughgood....Its a good plan right? I may even watch one of your Jack ass videos even though I think they are NOT funny and all too dangerous.
There is nothing I wouldn't do, wouldn't give, to have you doing it all with me.
I miss you more than I could ever EVER convey my Dear Son.
I'll see you when I see you!

Missing Ma

"You don't kind of let go, you don't kind of ride waves.
You either ride them or you don't."
 Laird Hamilton

Mornin` coffee through a straw today. Be gentle with me. I am busy all day, and still have trouble getting, and staying asleep. I tried Melotonin. It didnt work. No coffee, no tea... maybe just some hot lemon water sometimes, but its bugging me for sure. Send tips:)
Do you remember what today is? How could you forget! Ma left us today. She is taking care of Jamie for me. I bet she taught him how to play Hollywood Rummy. I miss her, but you know, we talk often. Which is more than I can say for me and Munz eh... I might bust out one of her recipes today, we shall see. I'm sewing and watching the rain. Last night before the rain came, there was a fabulous warm breeze blowing the chimes round. I turned everything off just to give a listen. Small but meaningful happy moments. Hey... that Pinterest site is addicting! I have found many items for my vision board and also pinned some of my own! Its fun! ( ya gotta love healthy distractions eh?)
I'm off to create! Love yer guts!

Turkey Croquettes

"Failure is the condiment that gives success its flavor."
– Truman Capote

Wonder what to do with left over turkey meat besides soup? Besides Enchiladas? Oh wait... I got a bazillion ideas. Heres one of my Ma's go to recipes for said meat. It takes some planning during the day, but well worth it. The recipe can be doubled, but then you'll just eat them and cuss me out. I made these last night, while making other dishes! It was fun! I spoke with Mom quite a bit. I got a "Buttercup" from her, I think. Enjoy.........

Turkey Croquettes

1 Cup Bechamel ( thick white sauce) ( method below)
2 Cups cooked and diced turkey meat
1 TBLSP minced onion
1 Tblsp Minced Italian parsley
1 Teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 cup oil for frying
----------------------------------------------
1 Egg
2 TBLSP Water
1 cup Italian Bread crumbs
-----------------------------------------------

Thick White Sauce
1/4 cup four
1/4 cup butter
1 cup milk
salt and pepper to taste.
Over Medium heat , melt butter in a skillet.
Add flour slowly while whisking and adding milk, being careful not to scortch. add seasoning.
---------------------------------------------------------

Croquettes
Stir turkey into prepared bechamel sauce. Add onion and parsley and seasonings.
Spread Mixture into an ungreased  8x8x2 dish, cover and chill for at least one hour.
--------------------------------------
Assembling:
divide chilled mixture into 12 equal parts and shape into balls.
Blend the egg and water and dip each ball in it, then roll balls gently around in bread crumbs until completley covered..
Cover and chill again at least another hour or 2.
--------------------------------------------------
In another skillet, fry croquettes in oil for  about 3 minutes each until golden brown, being careful not to puncture coating.
Drain on paper towel and keep in a 300 degree oven until serving.

These little balls of heaven can be served with leftover turkey gravy, cranberry sauce, or make a thinner bechamel. (then ask for a wheel chair to be rolled away from the dinner table)
I prefer just fresh cranberry sauce.

Medium Bechamel:
2 T Flour
2 T Butter
1 Cup Milk
S & P
Same as above

Maya? I feel Ya!

Pretty women wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size
But when I start to tell them,
they think I'm telling lies.
I say,
It's in the reach of my arms
The span of my hips,
The stride of my step,
The curl of my lips.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

I walk into a room
Just as cool as you please,
And to a man,
The fellows stand or
Fall down on their knees.
Then they swarm around me,
A hive of honey bees.
I say,
It's the fire in my eyes,
And the flash of my teeth,
The swing in my waist,
And the joy in my feet.
I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Men themselves have wondered
What they see in me.
They try so much
But they can't touch
My inner mystery.
When I try to show them
They say they still can't see.
I say,
It's in the arch of my back,
The sun of my smile,
The ride of my breasts,
The grace of my style.
I'm a woman

Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

Now you understand
Just why my head's not bowed.
I don't shout or jump about
Or have to talk real loud.
When you see me passing
It ought to make you proud.
I say,
It's in the click of my heels,
The bend of my hair,
the palm of my hand,
The need of my care,
'Cause I'm a woman
Phenomenally.
Phenomenal woman,
That's me.

One For The Money

"I care not what others think of what I do,
but I care very much about what I think of what I do!
That is character."

– Theodore Roosevelt

ONE STAR, cause her leading man is cute!

One for the Money  has Katherine Heigl playing Stephanie Plum, a recent divorcée who returns to her New Jersey hometown, finds inexperianced work as a bail bondsman, and is soon on the hunt for the gruffy fugitive who took her virginity on the floor of a local bakery some 15 years earlier.
Directed by Grey's Anatomy vet Julie Anne Robinson. This is as  dumb as romantic-comedies get. THEE only thing that I enjoyed was her co star leading man  Mel Gibson type, Jason O'Mara.  I believe that they could actually be related! He plays "Morelli" The ultimate 50 thousand dollar capture. ( Whom is the love interest). I was told that this is based on a series of books. Books I shall not buy.

Heres my question.
Where have all the good westerns gone?
Where is Clint when I need him? Tommy Lee Jones? Robert Duvall? Sam Elliot?
RUSSELL CROWE!!!
John Wayne I miss you. I would even love to watch an entire film on the Marlboro Man as opposed to the likes of poorly made romantic comedies.
Sorry? Just saying?
I L.O.V.E. comedy, I'll leave now and go find one. Until my Marlboro Man shows up.

MM Cucumber Water

"We make our fortunes and call them fate."– Benjamin Disreali

Good Monday Morning! Thank God the week end is over! I know, I must be the only one on the planet who doesnt love the weekend right?
I made a turkey dinner, drank tons of Spa Water...AKA Cucumber water... and tried not to go berzerk.
Cucumber Water... the new wine 30. Light, refreshing, non caloric, and put in the correct stemware, we can call it a cocktail!  Its a nice change from Lemon water me thinks. Its even better the next day! I use English Cucumbers so I dont get the burbies. Try some... really... but not in place of the vino if ya dont have to?

I Miss Us

The best exercise for the heart is to reach down and lift someone else up.
"Tim Russert".

That would be Heather Woman. I was having some fresh gound coffee while pondering getting my lists made today. I wanted to talk to her. I have these moments you know, as do we all with various loved ones. With H, she is running 10 years behind me and common ground is compromised. Little chittlins, and hubbies, and climbing corporate ladders, and then taking those pesky pictures of people...lol Not to mention social networking!
I hope Im not old and wrinkled before she catches up to me! It wouldnt matter anyway, for we are joined at the heart. I love that... Being joined at the heart with my Besties! Dont you? :::sigh:::
I have Sistas from another Mother! I am so fortunate. Sometimes I feel that I'll go mental before I have face time with them.

I havent seen my Blima in so long I wonder if she is really real or just a figment of my imagination! I havent had a good road trip in 3 years!!! Wow... Its been quite a ride dear blog readers.... The good news is, I feel life being breathed back into me. Even though life kinda stinks right now.
I have a new plan to see her in August. Plan K, or 11, depending on which way I list it on which day. I think her new pups will bite me when I finally meet them:( I want a lobster roll, and I want to steal coffee cups, and play in the Atlantic, and flirt with Irishmen! Flirt hell! I may steal a kiss this time!
What is it five thousand miles to Montreal? May as well be millions. grunt. Which brings me back to Heather.. HEY WOMAN! Its only 200 miles!!! Get here if you can!

I think Ill go find more Bestie Pics and see who else I can whine about missing!!! Lets See.... Betty Anne... Sissy... Ronda.... Omg and more!   Lets have a cabin meeting somewhere and catch up!
Love yer guts !!!

Bares repeating.................

Morning! ( for a few more minutes?) I am busy sewing, cause it keeps me off the treadmill...ssshhhh.
Do you just love these colors?? WOW!

Its really fun to quilt these, for sure.
So did you peoples see the Golden Globes? Gorgeous dresses! Gorgeous men! I see facial hair is hot this year..lol Or is it just the stubble shadows are hot? Why is that the men seem more handsome as they age and we women have to work hard to erase every year? Not fair at all.  So... I am very behind on my movie viewing. I havent been since Money Ball! I'll put that on this weeks Master list. For now I must get a boatload of things done. I lost the Monday list because I made it last night! Not good... I need my lists!

Friday The Thirteenth

"Become so wrapped up in something that you forget to be afraid."
– Lady Bird Johnson

I have a huge list but all I really want to do is make a fabulous Porchini sauce! Grunt. Its noon and I havent gotten my butt on the treadmill yet. Its on the list too. I suppose I have been busy fighting the funk if you know what I mean. Its what I do.
I got my sugar under control finally. I was so scolded this week that it scared me! I tried to tell the dr. what a rotten couple months Ive been having, however she didnt seem to care. Or did she? anyway, I wonder why everything has to be such a battle. It would be so wonderful to have smooth sailing for just a little while. It will come, I can feel it:) I can actually see it there in the distance. A few trickles and I grab them, hold on tight, and it makes the fight easier. Things so simple like the mailman leaving me happy notes for no particular reason..lol The Soroptimist club calling to visit and invite me to join. As always S & B with the BFF keeps me going for a few days! Oh, another tickle is the grands calling on a new APP called TIKL. Its like a walkie talkie. All of a sudden I hear Avi screaming into the phone, NONNI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It almost puts her in the room! Fun APP. Theres no ringing, its just a close ones voice when you least expect it. I made her a pillow case with minkee leopard on it.. its so warm and fuzzy that she will swoon over it. Made a few more for Jamie too. I hope its out of my system so I can move on! I am pleased that I got through the first tee shirt quilt on Wednesday. I really didnt think I would, but Lindas company did the trick. After that last block throwing me under the bus, I had no hope for that poor thing. Thanks Punisher:) Now to bind it! Onward.....
I should get on the treadmill Dear blog readers... I will ponder my sauce:) TGIF and dont be afraid of Friday the 13th... you know, like I thought nothing of 11.11.11.... Ppphhhhffftttt

Changes A Foot: Maybe

"Ya got to take care of business if you want your business to take care of you."
K. Dee
Well, the words rang true enough today. I am trying to hold on to my passion of my quilting business. With my entire S.O.U.L.
I wonder if its even possible now? A supplemental business as I know, but I .... I....
I'm NOT getting any younger! I shoulda been rich by now! ( sorry, momentary loss in emotion there).
I saw these words on the screen from a friend, and it nearly threw me over the desk. Do I take care of it? Really?
Must I REALLY put on heels and have power lunches and smile a phoney smile again? Come on... I dont want to:(    I love my jeans and sneakers, lunch with colleagues that consist of wine and laughter. Dancing and singing in my studio as if no one is listening/watching! Oh wait! No one is!!!!
Hey, any market for a web cam quilter with a half ass good voice?
(white girls cant dance) Just saying~
My Sensi.... in the beginning of this journey said to me. "All quilters have three lean months and they all begin with J."  I personally have never had this problem, until now. Its January. Chit. I dont see golfers backing off, why should quilters?
I printed my resume. Its Stellar. I was a good girl eh.... shoot. I will go ONLY if I MUST, but I will go kicking and screaming back to the corporate world. GRUNT.
Do you all remember the couple years spent as a superstar B & B Innkeeper? Yeah, it nearly killed me. Serious money made though right??? lol So not worth it. I dont even have the car I paid off anymore!!! WTF???    I never worked so hard in my life! I think back on that now and swoon over the tales told of all of my guests. The places they travel, the things they witnessed. Then I get pissed, because it should be me...lol
<---brat
I have a sweet challenge this month! Dont mean to change the subject, but of course it did.
I have been comissioned to do a nice photo memory quilt with dogs! Its going to be fun! I am nearly certain that I will do it all in hand dyes. I love the natural elegance. But you knew that. Dont forget that NY goal of a poodle quilt!! I'll get to it.
Progress on the James Tee shirt quilt. Another mountain to climb. Its halfway through now. I take many breaks to change the channel in my mind. Jake will adore it. Today I wrote on one shirt James favorite farewell. " I'll see ya when I see ya".
OUCH.
The block I stitched it on was Jakes duffle bag that he gave to James upon his return from his tour of duty in Iraq. They were so close that I smiled about the young years when I thought that they would kill each other over Legos and transformers. I did something right. Or, it may have been the beer. GRUNT.
CLIC
Today is my favorite day of the week! Stitch and Bitch night! Who's swinging by? I have some fresh hummous and pita chips. Okay, and wine.
Love yer guts! G

MM Why Is Everyday "Begin Again"?

Did you peoples see it? Did ya? Omgoodness.... How magnificent was the full moon last night! I swear I could have roped it because it was so close! What a perfect way to end a perfect beach night. All the pondering in the world could not have prepared me for this beauty. It just reminded me that yes DearGina, everyday is to begin again.
I woke up after having a bad memory dream, but quickly remembered this sight. Last night I had Ottmar Liebert strumming his guitar on the CD player when I fell asleep to the moons view. I thought it was really crappy to have a bad dream after that! It is what it is eh?....grunt.
As I said, the morning brought the moon memory, and here we go... Lists on fire and thankfully I am quilting. Have a marvelous Monday Dear Blog readers!

Sunday= Beachday

I just couldnt take it any longer and loaded up the firewood, the dog and the wine and sat my butt on the beach for the day! night! It was wonderful, relaxing, and much needed. If i could figure out a wzy to write out there I think it would be near perfect! alas....two missing laptops will not allow me to. I had a great time anyway talking to families and walking Ginny. My fire was none to shabby either! I did have a rough time leaving mind you. I guess i played the car radio so long that it killed my battery. Thank goodness a helpful man came to my rescue. I was scared... pissed...and scared. I am so sick of being scared. We made it home safely and gin and I tucked in bed with sand in places we wont discuss. I think thta we should make this a Sunday event. Explore beaches...yep...good plan.

78 degrees and glorious on the beach today!

Quilty Resolutions Only,Thanks

"I think in terms of the day's resolutions, not the year's."
Henry Moore

I believe in the above statement. Whole heartedly. However, I am considering amending this slightly to accomodate a few quilting goals.

*I really would like to not just attend, but to be a vender in Art In The Park Festivities here. I did the Lodi Street fair quite a few times and had great fun. So many tourists here just desire to take home a quilt! So I'm all over it. It will require many many quilts, and a few friends. :::wink to da sistas::::
*I swear to Budha that this will be the year I actually make an applique quilt!!!. I think it should be poodles. If I cant have my standard yet, I may as well make a quilt while I wait! ( shoot, now its in print)
*I wish to expand my quiltmaking for SLO Womens Shelter, and the SLO warming shelter. What awesome programs, amazing people. I may even join the Womans Aide Society:)
*I will take a class to learn a new technique. Yes I will.
* Learn EQ 7 and make one!
*I WILL finish Jamie's Tee Shirt quilts. When is enough really enough? The six million dollar question? You will know. Yep, you will.
* Oh! I need a new baby boy quilt for a Christmas 2011 arrival!

As far as the other kind of resolutions? One day at a time. Baby steps. Healing.

You peoples going to tell me of your quilty resolutions? Or other kinds?

Happy 2012 Dear Blog Readers. LYG!

Week Ends Still Stink!

Bored! What happens when I'm bored? I do crazy things like Bling my butt! I have had these jeans for awhile now. Nice, boot cut, except that the back looks like a mens slacks back! So... I blinged it. Then I looked around for other things to bling. Nothing is safe when I'm in this mood. I had to hide the tool box from myself! Then, I decided to make a messenger bag. I got as far as a nice hand dye and a leather, quilted it, and lost focus. I really must finish up Christmas gifts, but my poor brain is scattered. WAY too much on my plate. Its disturbing my artistic harmony for sure!! And its so cold I cant think!!
( no, I'm not bitchy am I?) Love yer guts!

Oprah-ism

Breathe.
Let go.

 Oprah Winfrey

No guarantees eh? Yep yep yep. Proven. How is your Friday going? I made a list and had breakfast? I function so much better late morning on you know. I think its sleep, or lack thereof. I spent most of the night following Ginger around because she had a tummy ache. I wonder if I gave her too many cookies? ( well, someones gotta eat cookies round here!!!) Oh shoot! my pills! brb.
So wait until you SEE what Heather is doing with the revised web site! Its a big PITA so its moving a bit slowly. This one will be easier to manage myself, because she has a full plate with all the many hats she wears!Stay tuned!
Other news... I have a woodpecker making me absolutley MENTAL this week! He just wont stop! Its usually right in the stairwell, and between Ginger barking, and me running to the door, its nuts! Anyone know how to stop a woodpeckers knock?
Sorry no Foodie Friday for ya. Im still perfecting the cabbage short rib soup:) I think just one more correction to perfection! I'll make another this week end and let you know. I STILL think I should be the beach soup Nazi...  No Soup For You!
I have Linda's Japo loaded today:) I am putting Ginko Leaves on it in verigated King Tutt. I dont like king tutt. grunt. Or should I say... Greta doesnt like it? I personally LOVE the look, I just dont think its worth the PITA! Well, Linda is, so onward says I.
I leave you with a funny.............. TGIF

Then What?

"Then What?"
Dr. Daniel Amen

Morning. I listened to this doctor on PBS and rather enjoyed it. It was about changing the brain. Google him. Fascinating seminar. In the middle of all of my post it notes I stuck one up with above qoute. It can really be applied to absolutley anything! After I eat this cookie, then what? After I say this, or do that, then what?  In my subjective opinion, it keeps me "mindful" of all things big and small. I love it. I'll use it.
I got a nice surprise this morning. The ever magical H woman is boosting my website and making it user friendly! Then what? Then I can manage it, and you peoples can gather information to send me your works of art for finishing! Also, see whats new and whos zoomin who! See! It works! My DQL will be improved with this new site!
 Stay tuned:)
I have a long list of to do's so I better get to it. I am not doing so well on Christmas gift quilts, but I am trying for sure. I get so easily side tracked with other things. Organizing this shop mess being one of them. I dont want to talk about the others. THATS for the scary journal. CLICK

Have a great hump day:)

Coffee Blogabout May Be At Wine 30

"Never apologize for showing feeling.
When you do so, you apologize for truth."– Benjamin Disraeli

Ya never know with me these days right? Its wine and cheese time, not coffee and cottage cheese time! lol  Sorry, I was seeing Mr Wizard. Good Lord I needed it too! It helps to not beat myself up so much. Thats what they tell me anyway. Also to my Dr Appt, did you remember the fateful December meet up? Yep yep yep.. You will be pleased to read that I do not have to go on insulin yet! I lost 2 more ( Ill take it) pounds! Which has given me another month reprive. New meds too for the Neoropothy. I have no idea what it is, but that other stuff was awful!  So I seem in good spirits yes? Well, I am experianced at faking it til I'm making it!. Its what I do. Mister Wizard thinks its healthy. I'll take that too. I enjoyed leaving the frost and venturing into the sunshine today. I left all wrapped up, and returned with layers gone!
I am thinking about my Uncle Henry today. He is my biological Fathers brother. He died Sunday night. He had a long and wonderful life, and we loved each other very much.I spent a good deal of time with he and my Aunt Edith in my youth. I adore my cousins and I hope I never lose my Terranova family. I guess Im thinking of him because it is really EERY how every year in my life, someone is leaving. Like clockwork. It occurred to me that it might be my age. My generation the next to go? It all began with Uncle Smiles remmebr? Just before my James untimely death. Three more loved ones, in three more years. My Dear Mother, my young sweet neice, and now Uncle Henry. I find this quite EERY. Its no wonder that I can go nowhere without a slight panic attack wondering who may or not be MIA while I'm away. PTSD.
I was cooking Thanksgiving dinner and when Avi played Sanja on her playlist I melted down over giblet gravy. Seems that these things happen while cooking... It hit me about this loss, and loss of other kinds. At that very moment I was overwhelmed with a sense of loss, grief, sadness. While hugging it out with KareBear, I felt peaceful too. Peaceful in the knowledge that all be be well, no matter what. I haven proven that I am a survivor. Whatever it takes.
The gravy was saved, and delicious as always. ( so they told me)
No idea why I am rambling away. Only one sippa wine, swear!
Here is a sweet photo of Ma and Uncle Henry a few years ago. I think I'll go finish my new Russian Zoupa! See me Friday for the outcome!
PS: Have you ANY idea how hard it is to fake it till you make it???

Never Forget How It Made You Feel

"People will forget what you said; People will forget what you did.
But people will never forget how you made them feel."

Oh Mercy how true is that??? Good morning:)
It's Monday and I'm looking for gratitudes in my sleepy head. I found some, no worries.
Its tough when its rough eh? Yep, yep, yep.
I was up far too late last night. Feel crappy now. Ginger was "on duty" and kept me up due to neighbors fooling around outside. I have much to do so the coffee is going in fast. Bummer too because AGAIN I missed going for blood work because of the coffee! Dang it!
Its absolutley freezing here this week! In the 20's and now I hear the teens soon! Is it going to snow??
I will try to RE Tackle Tee shirt quilts this week too. Lets call them Christmas. Sad. Click.
Aviana called 3 times yesterday while I sewed away. It was fun. I need a photo of her snatching a parents phone and speed dialing her Nonni...lol I think she may have been bored. I like it. She even called once while I was in the theatre! ( mental note: turn off phone like the screen says)
Sigh.. I hope to see the Baby Grands soon.
I think I'll make a new soup today. I have lost a few more pounds and it is giving some motivation! I have been drinking this Chinese tea at night, and I hear also that cabbage helps. So I shall dream up a soup. Stay tuned. I used to like those Russian soups.. I remember Ma making them. I ll have to research that. I'm really SICK of chicken, for sure. Thats what happens when you buy out the birds at Costco eh? I'm off, you peoples make it a great day!

Twilight Saga

A little late, but I finally am up to speed with the Twilight series! Go me! My Sis just KNEW that I would like it, no matter how many times I told her that I had absolutley no interest in Vampires and Wolves. She is just trying ever so hard to distract my mind and heart for awhile, however little it is. Thanks Sis. So... I was mistaken! Totally investied in the series I watched three, back to back and now I'm hunting a movie buddy to take me to see BREAKING DAWN.
WOW! How entertaining was this??? Not reality mind you, but darned good entertainment! I think I will call my Baby Grand "Bella" Now! ( her middle name) I just heard about the MOST popular baby names this decade and of course all of the Twilight people rule. Jake, Edward, Bella, Charlie...etc....
I personally think Bella should have gone back home long ago, but then where would the series be right? I am still stuck on the whole no blood inside of a vampire anyway. I mean... no juices inside? Ya cant do that! Theres no lovemaking without blood, come onnnnnn
Oh yeh, fiction entertainment, I forgot. I nearly ralph everytime one is killed and thier bones break and resemble a mannikin. Speaking of Mannikins.. I think I want one! yeah, A male one.. I'll call him Wilson and stick him in the window. Dress him all metro-ish...or naked? My Bestie has one, her name is Eve... She's a looker too:) Oh! I'll call mine Adam!  I know what youre thinking... Oh Mister Wizardddddd G's gone round the bend.......
So.. who wants to go see Breaking Dawn with me?

ADDED Tonight: Awesome movie!! I went alone in celebration of finishing a big task. I did our new VIP Screening room. Complete with red rockers and wine. What a kick! The movie ( Breaking Dawn) didnt disappoint! WOW... WOW..., OKay, so I 'm hooked.
Wheres my cuppa blood?
Ewwwwww
PS: That dingy Bella totally made the wrong choice. Poor Jake.
