Real Age

How old are you? How old do you feel?Look? Act? Dress? Who says what or how we are supposed to look anyway? I'm kind of ticked off...I'm 50. Did you know this? I'm 50 and although I feel that at least 10 of those years have been aged in the last 5 months , I dont appreciate being told that. WTF?? Thats like someone saying, omg you look so tired!!! And immedietley, you're tired! How about, You look like you been rode hard and put away wet. INSTANTLY one feels like a broke down Barbie!! I think people should take thier honesty and put it where the sun doesnt shine!
Now, admitedy, I dont cotton much to the "thumper" blogging. It may be good venting, but to me its like telling my customers my sorrows. They dont want or need to hear it. Maybe what the world needs is more hormones. I wonder if thats the ticket to a youthful look....it seems to work for Suzanne Summers and many a hollywood elite eh..::::mental note- Ask GYN to up dosage:::::AND>>> if I do look older, I THINK I MAY BE ALLOWED given the crappy cards I've been playing with for 5 freaking months!
OMG I am such a contradiction of a woman eh?::read hypocrite::: I'm here thumping up a rainstom. wow.I'm sorry. I guess I can thump with the best of 'em.
K... so today, I feel old. I'll get over it. Tomorrow I'll feel younger.. and the next day younger still. Damn the torpedos. DOUBLE GRUNT... Im sorry...again... I'm usually not so crusty, but then again, u get crusty when u get old! Anddddd these days I am sometimes just irrational. (or dead on)
And BTW, it takes MONEY to flick off a little agedness too!

:( Gina I think you look beautiful. Even though I haven't met you in person. Your pics show how beautiful you look and are. I wish I looked that good. I look in the mirror and see my momma. Oh no not that!! I don't feel old. Smile cause we love you.

Keep raging against it, that's what keeps you young maybe not in the mirror (I'm always surprised at the woman who stands in front of me there) but in your soul.

I can SO relate to your post, Gina... I turn the big 5-0 in November. Da#m! I only feel about 28 inside, too, so when I look in the mirror, there is a disconnect. LOL

Okay, so you're 50. I'm 54 and I don't look anything like the little Baba you've got in the picture there. We women have the option of looking good for many, many years to come. You're still a beautiful young woman. Age is just a number and you don't look a day over 35.

Oh this 50 thing..........I have about 3 weeks........as I get older my favorite thought....."Why in the H---am I putting up with this sh--!!!!"........Seems like everytime I turn around there's something..........so maybe 50 is just a state of mind or life circumstance...

50 is just a number. I'm 53 and don't feel like it. I was playing a game with my 18 yr old DD and I had to make a profile for myself. I made myself skinny and no glasses. My DD said you don't look like that. We were laughing so hard. I said yes I do. That's what I see when I look in the mirror. We had a really good laugh.

Admittedly, 50+ bugs me when I think about it. So I don't think about it.

I enjoy my ride on the river of Denial! Come join the group of us taking that cruise. ;)

P.S. An occasional thump is not so bad. Given your past few months, such a thump is completely understandable.
